Foi o que apontou um estudo da Universidade de Connecticut, nos Estados Unidos, indicando que 10% a 12% das crianças que participaram da pesquisa tinham distúrbios de paladar e muitas não identificavam os gostos “doces”. Segundo eles, isso acontece porque quando o nervo da língua, responsável pelo paladar e que também está relacionado ao ouvido, fica inchado ou infeccionado, prejudica também o paladar.
