O ar seco desencadeia o aparecimento de doenças respiratórias como sinusite, rinite, asma, gripes e resfriados. “Nosso nariz cumpre o papel de umidificar e aquecer o ar que respiramos. Porém quando o tempo está desse jeito, ele não consegue executar esta função adequadamente e o oxigênio entra pelo nariz de forma mais seca, causando irritação nas mucosas das vias aéreas. Elas ficam ressecadas, facilitando a contaminação por bactérias e vírus, resultando em infecções,” explica a Otorrinolaringologista do Hospital Federal da Lagoa, Dra. Luciane Mello.
Para aliviar os efeitos do mal tempo e dormir com mais tranquilidade vale apostar em alguns simples hábitos. “Beba muita água para garantir a hidratação das mucosas, faça inalações com soro fisiológico, coloque e uma bacia com água no ambiente. Caso essas dicas não sejam suficientes e os sintomas piorem, procure ajuda de um especialista,” finaliza Luciane.
